Your Feelings, My Life

We're in dangerous times it seems but they tell me I have nothing to worry about. The Nazis are just exercising free speech. The Nazis are not taking over our government. According to the right, my Black life is not under threat. I beg to differ. I illustrated this cartoon in response to a troubling event that happened this week more than once in Ohio. A group of Nazis marching through communities and waving Swastikas from a highway overpass. In response, a nearby community came out to run the Nazis off! The moment went viral.

Nameless

Brianna The Brave

Brianna The Brave

Ralph Ellison’s novel Invisible Man was the inspiration for this comic. My take was to place a nameless character navigating a surreal world full of the philosophical angst of 19th-century philosophers.

Labor of Love

This story has been conceptualized visually and is not written yet. Growing up I loved reading stories that featured talking animals so I had to conceive one of my own. Please enjoy the colorful illustrations.

Brianna the Brave

Written and illustrated by Desire Grover. This story is about a brave little girl named Brianna. She finds herself lost in a strange world filled with portals, talking butterflies, and monsters. She must be brave in order to find her way home!
