Pocahontas

The tragically short life of Pocahontas foreshadowed the plight of kidnapping, pillaging, conquest that would plague the indigenous people after the arrival of the strange people from a strange land. (TOP)

Elizabeth Key

Elizabeth would not let herself be enslaved! Southern Colonies had begun to treat servants they called "Negros" differently than other indentured servants. Her case would be a win for freedom but it would inspire a terrible backlash, laying the foundation for chattel slavery! (TOP)

Maximus the Confessor Comic

This is a short comic that introduces the life of the early church father Maximus the Confessor. He would dare to defy the emperor's theological mandates. It would lead to his persecution. I illustrated this for all ages but more so for myself. I enjoy learning about the early church by turning the info into comic strips. I imagine others might enjoy it too. Brianna The Brave

Brianna is a little girl who wants to find home but must first face her fears.

Nameless

Brianna The Brave

Brianna The Brave

Ralph Ellison’s novel Invisible Man was the inspiration for this comic. My take was to place a nameless character navigating a surreal world full of the philosophical angst of 19th-century philosophers.

Labor of Love

Brianna The Brave

Labor of Love

This story has been conceptualized visually and is not written yet. Growing up I loved reading stories that featured talking animals so I had to conceive one of my own. Please enjoy the colorful illustrations.
